I made it through about 14.745 minutes of the first episode, first season. I thought I would give this a try after my wonderful experience with Brotherhood, another series on Showtime. This one painfully starts off by trying to create the negative impression that suburban housing . . . and people who live there and go to PTA meetings, are created by a massive cookie-cutter in the sky. Very, very nasty and negative view towards others. If anyone doesn't like the suburbs and living in a private home, I suggest they try the projects, Camden NJ or apartment living in Harlem or Washington Heights for a couple of years.
The episode then jumps to one of the upstanding ladies in the community dealing with a black family that bags weed, After that we meet her promiscuous kids and an underage dealer she supplies. The nice part about this piece was that they all spoke in foreign tongues. It was English , Ebonics and kid slang . . . or a combination of all three and fortunately I could only understand about 10% of what was coming out of their mouths.
