I knew when I saw the trailer for this movie that something was missing. Unfortunately, I was correct. The producer forgot to include a story. Some comments from people who left the theater at the end: "So what was this about" and "Who cares"? Total waste of good acting by Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer. Only worthwhile part of the film was the costumes and scenery of Russia in the early 1900's.
The movie was about the last years of Russian author Leo Tolstoy's life . . . and how he related to his sociopathic wife. If you enjoy seeing a crazy women rant and manipulate others, then this one is for you.
It will probably never open in major theaters.
