CHERRY BLOSSOMS (2008) B

Foreign: German, Japanese

Very unique movie mainly suited for patrons of offbeat "art " theaters. Deals with a stereotypical and boring German 60ish couple who have lived conventional lives defined by their society. Children, work, retirement, etc, etc. Always putting off what they may have wanted to do in a fantasy life.

As it turns out , the distaff side of this couple always had dreams of becoming a kabuki dancer . . . but denied those dreams to take care of others needs. Without going into greater detail, the message of the movie is you better enjoy life to it's fullest NOW , WHILE YOU ARE ALIVE. Good message for many people I know and have known.

Excellent and realistic depiction of adult children being bored to tears when their parents invade their home for an extended "visit".

This is a MUST SEE if you are a student of cinema arts
