Very, very, very painful, movie that deals with the epidemic of AIDS that struck Africa in the 2000's. Not for everyone. As I understand the medical aspects of the situation, George Bush (the younger), under the prodding of Christian missionary, groups pushed through legislation with the help of pharmaceutical companies that gave millions of dollars to diminish the horrible problem that was depicted so well in the movie.

From NETFLIX:Struggling to raise her daughter in a poor African village, Yesterday (Leleti Khumalo) finds the odds stacked against her when she learns that she's HIV positive. But with her husband in denial, Yesterday must somehow find the strength to go on. She's also determined to live long enough to see her daughter go to school. Warren is retired and lives in Florida where he runs a foreign movie program for adults. He subscribes to NETFLIX and uses Rotten Tomatoes as one of the sources for selecting movies to review.

Started watching movies at about eight years old and was strongly influenced by "Fantasia" for it's combination of music and fantasy. He was profoundly impacted in his early teen years by the social content in "I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG".

As a kid he used to enter the movie house in the middle of a double feature and leave when the movie reached the part where he came in. Loved serials and was able to see most double features for ten or twenty-five cents.

A graduate of Columbia University and City College of New York (CCNY), he strongly believes that good movies . . . with mature content . . . are a significant supplement to education and insight into the world around us. No egghead, he also believes that "It's A Wonderful Life", "Young Frankenstein", "The Producers", West Side Story", and "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" are great films.
