CURSE TO THE PERSON WHO IS DUMB ENOUGH TO RENT THIS MOVIE FROM NETFLIX.
It was a Cecil B. Demille like production that takes place in 950 AD in The Forbidden City, home of the Chinese Emperors. It was supposed to follow the romantic intrigue and political machinations in the house of the Emperor Ping and his ailing wife -- a couple whose secret passions and schemes ultimately destroy the family. Cast of thousands killing each other and very stilted story. Could not believe that people lived the creepy lives that were shown on the screen.
