LINCOLN (2012) AA

If you are a History buff, you will love this movie. It's all about things we never learned in school . . . even at the college level. The film describes the intertwining of the personalities and emotions of Lincoln, his cabinet and others in the House of Representatives at the time of the voting on the 13th Amendment . . . which ended slavery forever in the United States. It talks about the limitations of the Emancipation Proclamation, the working of Democracy, lobbing for votes and even goes into the relationship between Lincoln and his wife. The art form of film can not be overrated. It brings you into worlds that exist in history that are impossible to describe in a book. This movie . . . and it's sensational screenplay allow you to go back in time and see what really went on in Washington in 1865
