MUD (2013) C

This movie was very disappointing.  It received rave reviews from critics and lay people alike . . . see rottentomatoes.com/m/mud_2012/ for example.  But in terms of a movie for Grownups (mature adults), it fell flat on it's face.  

Essentially the story is about  . . . and for . . . teenagers.  We get involved with their interaction with a fugitive from justice, his girlfriend, the boys' girlfriends and the teenagers parents.  This all happens in an extremely poor backwater section of Arkansas . . . which was the most interesting part of the movie. It attempted to show how people live and think in that part of the United States. 

Boring at times and predicable . . . but well acted.  Could never suspended disbelief (forget that I was in a movie theater and "get into" the story).
