TV Series: THE LAST SHIP: (2014 -) 10 Episodes C+

Some what watchable non-excitement filled series about this often repeated plot where 80 percent of the global population killed by a pandemic, and the ship's crew are among the few survivors.

The writing is clunky and the acting is almost universally stiff. The characters need to be much more engaging to keep us from wanting to jump overboard from The Last Ship.

The stakes are rarely about anything more than the next goal that must be attained, and the series' storytelling turns into a long string of checkpoints.

It's entirely possible The Last Ship could turn out to be a cruise to nowhere, but in its first three episodes, it's at least a fun ride.
