Movie review: THE IMITATION GAME (2014) AA

Excellent dramatic depiction of one of the most carefully guarded secrets of WW II. The breaking of the German secret communication code.  This effort was a vast undertaking with at least 50,000 people working on the project at Bletchley Park* in England with Americans and American Corporations in supporting roles.

This movie was just part of the story of the total project and centered on the creativity and ultimate abuse of Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician.  The subject was classified and kept secret by the US and British governments for 50 years after the war was over. A few years ago a movie was made that dealt with the attempt at capturing a German submarine just to get the code machine.

To me, the movie was not as interesting as it could have been because I had done extensive reading about this ENIGMA project and the ultimate abuse of Turing over the last few years.
