TV MINI-SERIES; ONE CHILD (2014) B-
Started with promise. A Chinese-born young woman (who was adopted at birth by an English couple and lived her whole life in England), is called back  to Guangzhou, China by her birth mother who is desperately seeking help to save her son who has been wrongly-accused of murder. The journey explores the young women's inner battle as she decides how far she will go to help the woman who gave her away and the brother she's never met.
Could have been interesting but acting and/or screenplay didn't provide the strong emotion that one would expect from this life or death situation.

As it turns out, it appears that this BBC produced 4 part series was an attempt to describe the pervasive corruption that exists in the courts and businesses in the present day Chinese community.
