An excellent detective series about a Belgian police person, Paul Gerardi, who finds himself involved in sinister criminal/political crime when an underworld source tells him a major private bank has been broken into . . . and has chosen not to report it to the police.
A VERY well done series that will keep you interested till the end. For men as well as women audiences.
In this situation the robbery didn't involve money but rather the personal effects of some 66 highly connected individuals in Belgian society. Subsequently we find there is a powerful and nasty organization behind the 66 people who will stop at nothing to maintain their very special secret, and who wish to silence Gerardi from bringing the matter to light.
Salamander is set for an English-language remake, as a co-production between Cite Amerique and the British Artist Studio. A second series is also being written.
