A good mindless and watchable Tommy Lee Jones detective movie that takes place in very realistic rural Louisiana. This time the detective isn't divorced but is on the wagon.
Tracking a serial killer who preys on young women he finds his investigation complicated by a glamorous Hollywood starlet and a ruthless crime kingpin. Standard stuff with the usual violence and interesting relationships between whites and blacks in that corner of the world.
