Movie Review: CAROL (2015) C

CAROL is an empty stereotypical film that depicts a relationship between two women in the 1950's.  THAT"S IT!
It could have been set in 2014 except for the issue of child custody for "immoral women" in the 1950's.  But this issue was just a minor portion of a dull story.
Character development was totally missing.  The film stars Cate Blanchette (up for an Academy Award) . . . who to me was unattractive, physically as well as emotionally. Included was the limited story of the younger aspiring photographer and her relationship with both a guy who wants to marry her (didn't understand that relationship at all) and the older woman (Cate) going through a difficult divorce.
Got great reviews from the Critics.
But the critics can't be all wrong.  A number of women I know, who saw the movie, "liked it".
This movie may just be a classic chick-flick
