Movie Review: ROUNDERS (1998) A

Did not see this movie when it was released in 1998 but it is still worthwhile watching.

Great acting by Matt Damon, Edward Norton, Martin Landau, John Malkovich and John Turturro . . . who are involved in one way or another in a fictional New York's high-stakes underground poker world. The young Matt Damon is an addicted master card player who trades law school for playing rounds of poker.
This wasn't a fun movie to watch but it keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what is in-store for those people who are involved with both the legitimate and illegitimate gambling world.

Viewers who think of poker simply as gambling may have to re-think their position after sitting through ROUNDERS. This film shows us a different world entirely.
