This movie will shock some and educate others. It's about the relationship between a homeless, musically talented schizophrenic (the type that hears voices and talks incoherently), and a stereotypical grungy investigative reporter from the Los Angeles Times. It is based on series of columns that originally ran in that paper. Nothing really new if you have had some experience in dealing with mentally ill groups of people. For those who have not, and believe that the mentally ill can be "cured". . . then the movie is worthwhile, touching and extremely educational.
