DAYS AND CLOUDS (2008) FF-

HORRIBLE!!! This painful movie is a very sad attempt to give some insight into the lives of financially comfortable people who lose their jobs, and then find in difficult to deal the consequences of the problems that arise.

The movie presents a couple, who we know nothing about emotionally, (except that he had an affair 6 years ago, which appears to have not effected them emotionally in any way), and the pain and denial of a very angry hot headed man who alienates everyone around him . . . including his wife, who is shacking-up with her new boss. (She had to take three part time jobs to make ends meet.)

The movie finally ends with:
1. the middle aged man gaining total insight into all his emotional problems after spending one night and his daughter's boyfriends flat. (He hates the boyfriend . . . not good enough for his daughter)

2. the couple lying on the floor saying " I love you, and can't live without you"

The movie was truly remarkable for it's lack of development of the people (except to show that the guy who lost his job is nuts) and for it's totally inane ending.

Warren is retired and lives in Florida where he runs a foreign movie program for adults. He subscribes to NETFLIX and uses Rotten Tomatoes as one of the sources for selecting movies to review.

Started watching movies at about eight years old and was strongly influenced by "Fantasia" for it's combination of music and fantasy. He was profoundly impacted in his early teen years by the social content in "I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG".

As a kid he used to enter the movie house in the middle of a double feature and leave when the movie reached the part where he came in. Loved serials and was able to see most double features for ten or twenty-five cents.

A graduate of Columbia University and City College of New York (CCNY), he strongly believes that good movies . . . with mature content . . . are a significant supplement to education and insight into the world around us. No egghead, he also believes that "It's A Wonderful Life", "Young Frankenstein", "The Producers", West Side Story", and "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" are great films.
