YOU DON'T MESS WITH ZOHAN (2008) AA

This is one of the most important and creative movies I've seen in many years. It consists of a political message couched in a movie designed primarily for adolescence males and others with IQ's of less than 80.

The message: The Palestinians and Israelis should stop fighting and live in peace. This may be the most politically incorrect message that could be presented to the population of the US . . . especially to the organized Jewish community led by AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee).

If this message was presented in an adult fashion it would be rejected out of hand by all who want to annihilate the Palestinians . . . which include many in the community where I live in South Florida. Either it's "Nuke 'em", "Bulldoze them into the sea", "They are all terrorists", "Can't negotiate with them because have been all taught to kill us" or "They are subhuman because they haven't contributed to society (no Nobel Prizes)". True humanitarians positions.

So this movie is the Jimmy Carter political message wrapped around an Action/Adventure Comedy with superman action figures, pratfalls, sexual jokes of the poorest taste, and utter stupidity with people who resemble the mentally ill. BRILLIANT!!!

Warren is retired and lives in Florida where he runs a foreign movie program for adults. He subscribes to NETFLIX and uses Rotten Tomatoes as one of the sources for selecting movies to review.

Started watching movies at about eight years old and was strongly influenced by "Fantasia" for it's combination of music and fantasy. He was profoundly impacted in his early teen years by the social content in "I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG".

As a kid he used to enter the movie house in the middle of a double feature and leave when the movie reached the part where he came in. Loved serials and was able to see most double features for ten or twenty-five cents.

A graduate of Columbia University and City College of New York (CCNY), he strongly believes that good movies . . . with mature content . . . are a significant supplement to education and insight into the world around us. No egghead, he also believes that "It's A Wonderful Life", "Young Frankenstein", "The Producers", West Side Story", and "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" are great films.
