Am I missing something? Why do movies about gay relationships have no stories? First Brokeback Mountain and now A Single Man.This movie, (which just may have been put together as showcase for Colin Firth and then released), is about a depressed, affluent, gay guy that goes through the movie attempting suicide until he discovers that life may be worth living.
That's it. Nothing more. No psychological insight, no nothing. Others will tell you it's a nuanced film about the human condition. For me it was somewhat boring. Definitely not action adventure.
