THE GUARDIAN (2006) C+

This (2006) movie with Kevin Costner is about the Coast Guard people who go out in helicopters and jump into the ocean to save people who's boats are sinking.

Unfortunately, the boats usually get in trouble in heavy weather . . . which makes the job even more dangerous.

The movie has three parts, a) the great scenes of rescue in the heavy seas ( which deserves an A), b) the mean and tough training of the recruits who do the rescue job (C), and c) and the romance stuff between a recruit and a pretty teacher and Kevin Costner and his estranged wife (C).
