Directed by Pedro Almodovar
My mother had an expression. When she encountered a horrific happening, she would say, "I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemies". That's my rating for this horrific movie. My worst enemies shouldn't have to see it.
The people were . . . not only two dimensional . . . but flat as pancakes. Emotions (if they were displayed at all) didn't fit the events!!
Because of this mismatch, for a while I thought it was a comedy. Some comedy! 14 year old daughter kills father as he is about to rape her . Mother of 14 year old puts dead father in freezer. Grandmother of 14 year old kills philandering grandfather who raped his daughter. Another woman get cancer.
The producers of this movie probably figured that if they put in enough ugly family interactions, it would sell. It had nothing else . . . and that depravity wasn't even presented with the correct emotions.
Transitions and set ups for next scenes don't exist. Events and situations created that lead to nothing.
Worse than an amateur film. Better that they didn't have subtitles
Writing horrible. Directing worse.
