True story about a Cuban writer who gets caught up in Castro's repressive world. Clearly shows the pain of being an "anti-revolutionary" in that totalitarian state.
The Cuban writer, Reinaldo Arenas, who is also homosexual, finds himself in a bizarre gay world in Havana. Unfortunately, the screenplay mimics his life . . . which is disjointed and doesn't stay on any path.
Also difficult to understand the English as spoken in the movie. This means that you can only understand the gist of the plot, if one exists. Not too sure there was a plot.
Not very creative beginning, middle and end. Movie shows him being born, living his life and then passing on.
Screenplay needs more work.
Not Recommended in you want an entertaining evening.
