Foreign, French, SubtitlesWasn't all bad. Various segments were interesting and worth watching. Wonderful acting by some French women. In fact, this movie was probably made as a showcase for the actors and the cinematographer.
Unfortunately it was long, ponderous and had no meaningful ending. Mostly emotional interactions between family members. Hard to believe that the dialogue in the screenplay between dysfunctional family members was not improvised.
Just when you expected it to move to a new scene . . . it slipped away into ramblings by family members.
With better editing it could have been a B grade movie. Many "professional" critics liked it. Just proves you have to be very careful when using the ratings of the professionals.
