TV Series: THE WALKING DEAD (2010) D

Considering that these reviews are for grownups, The Walking Dead gets a D.  It's about Zombies eating people and taking over the world. My guess is that It's very popular with the general population because there are have been many episodes produced in 4 seasons.

My first introduction to zombies was in the 1940's in an Abbott and Costello movie.  The next GREAT zombie movie (which is considered the zombie "cult" movie) was The Night Of The Living Dead.  I saw it with my kids in a drive in in about 1970.  I tried this series out after Sandy was asleep because i knew she would never go for the blood and gore and stupidity and the lack of a plot.

This series is like the The Night Of The Living Dead repeated over and over and over.  Very slow. Could be edited down to 2 or three hours.

From a Rotten Tomatoes Review:
"The Walking Dead" is a good, old-fashioned horror-genre flick/series, without pretension or - for that matter - much of a message, either. The press materials prominently quote Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comic book on which it is based: "In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living." Don't know about you, but I don't need zombies stumbling around to remind me why life is so precious.
