Movie Review: THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY (2016) A+

Very well made . . . and sometimes moving movie about a brilliant impoverished  mathematician, born in India, who overcomes numerous obstacles to become a member of the prestigious Royal Mathematical Society. A somewhat  predictable tale of uplift and inspiration.

The Man Who Knew Infinity is the true story of friendship that advanced the field of mathematics.  In 1913, Srinivasa Ramanujan  a self-taught Indian mathematics genius, traveled to Trinity College, Cambridge, where over the course of five years, forged a bond with his mentor, the brilliant and eccentric professor, G.H. Hardy (played by Jeremy Irons), and fought against prejudice to reveal his mathematical genius to the world.
