Clint Eastwood, as Josey Wales, is and ex-confederate soldier on the run from an U.S. Army unit that killed his family. May have been one of the early movie that clearly showed the brutality of the Civil War and it's aftermath. The film also discusses the treatment of native American during that period of time. The movie shows that the US of A is the Land Of The Free And Home Of The Brave WITH PLENTY OF WARTS. In modern America these abuses have morphed into the more esoteric world of Wall Street wheeling's and dealings.
Music and scenery is excellent. Even better now that we own a 55 inch HDTV with home theater sound.
Clint Eastwood also directed this Oscar-nominated Western where lot of good guys win and bad guys lose.
