Slow but moving docudrama about the relationship between the Native Americans and the US government in the late eighteen hundreds. As most of us know . . . who have understanding beyond cowboy and Indian movies . . . Congress and Federal Courts treated Native Americans rights in an abominable manner. This film recounts some of the work done by the well meaning people involved. It also shows what happens when cultures collide.Once again the movie proves the point that when faced with a stronger adversary you have to know "when to fold them". The Indians should have listened to the song by Kenny Rogers. I know almost everyone will disagree, but it's my belief that the Israelis, especially the right wing settlers, should listen and turn up the volume very loud.
