This movie was given an excellent review by Netflix. A Japanese "art film" about happenings in Japan in the 1600's, when Shoguns and samurai warriors were an important part of the culture. Unfortunately, that cultural thinking only started to end in 1945 when we helped write a constitution for the Japanese people.
Because of the excellent rating, I expected to discover some profound insights from the movie. Again, unfortunately, it let me down in this area. It is my very strong feeling that movies earlier than the 80's don't have anything to offer me because the world (as well as the movie art form) has changed significantly since that time.
