THE CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI (2008) A/B

SANDY A
WARREN B

This movie supports my view that the Chinese people are made of steel and can survive almost any natural or man made disaster.

Most people are not aware of the suffering of the Chinese people during the 1930's when there was civil war between the "Nationalists" (Chang Kai Shek) and the "Communists" (Mao) . . . with a brutal Japanese invasion superimposed on the chaos.

This movie deals with the rescue 60-orphaned children by a young English journalist and two other people, during that period of time. Unfortunately, (in my opinion), we never really get to know the three people and the writing is a little hollow.

On the other hand, Sandy thought it was a wonderful movie.
