I missed this movie when it was in the theaters because It had poor reviews. Big mistake. This is a excellent movie that is based on the true story of the major attempt by the German Officer Corp to kill Hitler and sue for peace with the allies in 1944.Although I knew some of the detail of the attempt by Col. Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) to end Hitler's life, I knew little about the plot to take over the country after his demise. It will keep you on the edge of your seat even though you know the ending. That's what you call good acting, direction and writing.
