THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON (2008) C

As most of you know, this movie was adapted from the 1920's story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. I usually enjoy time travel movies but this one travels through time . . . backwards and forwards . . . and unfortunately goes nowhere.

It has been heavily advertised, which usually means that it is an average movie. It lives up to that expectation . . . average.

The movie is predictable, overly long, has a number of scenes that could have easily been cut, extensively included garbled words that a person with average hearing could not understand, includes not well though out actions by the principle actors but will probably win an academy award for Makeup (people aging).

On the positive side, the love story (he only real element in the movie) is somewhat touching.
