Don't miss this movie!! The acting is super special and the screenplay is Broadway at it's best . . . but only better because you can see emotions close-up.From Netflix with editing: In a Catholic elementary school in the Bronx, an obsessive compulsive Sister Aloysius (Meryl Streep) begins to have doubts about one of the priests, Father Flynn (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who seems to have become overly involved in the life of a young African American pupil. But because of her illness, can her judgement be trusted?
From WW: The movie presents real people. Not cartoons!! It presents the concept of doubt, which is not dealt with by most people who are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that their views are correct ( Bush and his greater father, Israeli vs Arabs, etc.,etc.). I believe that 95% of people are in this category. Not open to ideas that transgress on their preconceived notions.
Also this movie indirectly presents the inconsistent Catholic notion of creating a world where men and women are supposed to be celibate, and then callously overlooking the issue of whether these types of people are homosexual or pedophiles.
