Never got into this movie because my memory of both Frost and Nixon is considerably different than the characters depicted in this movie.If I remember correctly, Frost was an accomplished interviewer, not a reality show host and playboy, (as shown in the film), and Nixon was much less bedraggled and depressed than the person played by Frank Langella.
In the movie Frost finally gets Nixon to admit he broke the law . . . hooray, hooray. An old, old story. Most everyone today knows that Nixon was a seriously disturbed individual with paranoidal tendencies. (Our problem today is how to insure that the people elected to high office are not sickos and know a little more of history than Sarah Palin and her brood of High School dropouts).
Compared to George Bush II and Chaney, Nixon was a pussy cat. These guys still lie through their teeth when they say that they wanted to bring Democracy to Iraq and other Mid-East countries as a cover for the invasion of Iraq.
Their efforts have produced the democratically elected Hamas. Thank goodness they didn't bring democracy to Egypt, with it's 81 million people.
