French This movie is the slow and somewhat sad story about the French painter Seraphin de Senlis (1864-1942). She was a severely disturbed lady who supported herself by performing menial job in France in the late 1800 . . . early 1900's.
From these early beginnings she became a gifted self-taught painter and was "discovered" by a prominent critic and collector William Uhde. She came be recognized by the art community during the period between between WWI and WWII. Unfortunately, as she became older she descended into madness and obscurity. At least that's what the picture showed.
Cinematography of France: Magnificent. No real narrative. Close to a documentary
