DocumentaryA documentary about Molly Goldberg and her creation of the RADIO and TV show called THE GOLDBERG'S. The documentary provides the gloss regarding her life and the reaction of the American public to the show. I did not view this as a success story.
Apparently Molly was an extremely driven person who may had a very limited relationship to friends and family. The documentary also totally ignores the a possible reason for the shows popularity . . . which probably was the very negative stereotype of Jewish people, which would have gone over very well in the America of the 1930's and early 40's.
