TV Series Review: DEXTER (2006 - ) A

Very interesting TV series.  A throwback to Charles Bronson's Death Wish films, where a vigilante good guy goes after bad guys.  Only Dexter has a much more unusual personality.  He is emotionless.  Cannot feel others pain or suffering or happiness.  Unfortunately, in the episodes I have seen so far, this aspect of his personality (which I assume relates to his early childhood experiences) is not explained. Interesting to note that this type of personality is not all that unusual.  Just think about the massive number of Germans and Japanese that committed atrocities during WW II without blinking an eye. 40 to 50 million Russians killed.  6 million Jews.

Storyline (from IMBd site) : Meet Dexter Morgan. By day he's a blood spatter pattern expert for the Miami Metro police department. But by night - he takes on an entirely different persona: serial killer. But Dexter isn't your average serial killer as he only kills people who fit a very prolific and precise "moral code" taught to him by his late father Harry (he didn't kill Harry, honest), and developed very thoroughly throughout each kill.
