TV Series Review: THE KILLING: SEASON 3 (2013) AAA

This seasons series (3) is THE GOLD STANDARD of TV Crime and Mystery Dramas.  Far superior to Season 1 and 2 because the story is suspenseful, fast moving, gritty, dark, realistic and involves the pathetic underside of our society that we never, ever see . . . unless you're a cop.  Workings girls between 12 and 16 that live on the streets and their mothers that live from hand to mouth in trailers.  The acting and cineamatography are superior. It's hard for me to say more than the reviews available from NETFLIX.

(go to Season 3)

Here is just a couple of the reviews:
• This series is the best television show I have seen in years. It is very involved, detailed, and realistic. This really pulls you in and makes you feel like it is a real story unfolding before your eyes. It is well paced, well acted, and well told. It discards the Crime Drama mold by not trying to solve everything in 30-60 minutes, but instead creates a new mold that feel very real. While watching the first season's 13 episodes, we were hooked and could barely wait for the next episode to air.

• The Killing is a well written crime novel for television. A show that leads you slowly enough through the crime investigation to FEEL what the characters feel. The sick gut retching agony of losing a child to a violent crime, for instance....it gives you time to really empathize with the parents, their sorrow, anger, pain. But that is only a peek at the meat of this plot. CSI is section 2, page 2 condensed newspaper reporting by comparison, and is wonderful for a quick fix. The Killing however, is a series to sink your mental and emotional teeth into, so to speak.
